Victor Bobai Hails Governor Uba Sani’s Leadership as President Tinubu Commissions Major Projects in Kaduna

Kaduna, Nigeria — June 20, 2025
Hon. Victor Mathew Bobai, Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to the Governor of Kaduna State, has described Governor Uba Sani as “a divinely inspired leader whose vision, humility, and passion for peace have restored Kaduna as a symbol of unity and development in Northern Nigeria.”

Bobai made the remarks while interacting with journalists on Thursday during the commissioning ceremony of landmark projects executed by the Uba Sani administration, which was graced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The President, who was in Kaduna on a working visit, commissioned a series of people-focused infrastructure and development projects, including a 300-bed specialist hospital, 100 CNG-powered buses, newly constructed township roads, and vocational training centres spread across the state.

President Tinubu praised the governor’s performance, describing him as “an agent of change, stability, love, unity, and progress,” and declared Kaduna a “model of peace and progress” for the Northern region.

In response, Bobai told reporters that the wide turnout and cross-party solidarity at Murtala Square — including civil servants, NGOs, students, religious leaders, and traditional rulers — was proof that Governor Uba Sani is enjoying divine favour and the full support of the people.

“What we witnessed today was not just a state event. It was a national testimony,” Bobai said. “President Tinubu saw firsthand that Kaduna is no longer a flashpoint of tension but a hub of productivity. And it’s all thanks to a governor who leads with sincerity, compassion, and competence.”

Bobai emphasized that despite the propaganda of political detractors, the people of Kaduna know the truth and are standing by Governor Sani because of his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance and peacebuilding.

“There are those who attempt to sow division, those who choose to ignore our progress, and those who try to tarnish the efforts of this administration — but they are in the minority,” he said. “The Bible says, ‘When the righteous rule, the people rejoice.’ And today, Kaduna is rejoicing.”

Bobai further described Uba Sani as a leader who values results over rhetoric and holds his team accountable to higher standards.

“This is a governor who regularly reminds us: ‘You are doing well, but we must raise the bar. We made promises, and we must deliver.’ He’s humble, focused, and sincerely driven by a desire to serve. This is not politics as usual — this is leadership led by purpose,” he noted.

Reiterating his personal confidence in the governor’s leadership, Bobai said he believes Kaduna will not forget the transformation it is witnessing under Uba Sani, including:

The reclamation of over 500,000 hectares of farmland

Reopening of closed schools and markets

Enrollment of 2.5 million unbanked citizens into the financial system

Massive investment in roads, schools, and hospitals

President Tinubu also used the occasion to confer the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) on retired Colonel Dangiwa Umar, correcting an oversight in his recent June 12 address. He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to supporting Kaduna’s growth, including backing the Kaduna Light Rail project and other socio-economic reforms.

“Kaduna is rising again. We’re going to do it together,” Tinubu declared.

Also in attendance were prominent dignitaries including former Vice President Namadi Sambo, Emir of Zazzau, Major General Zamani Lekwot (Rtd.), and the governors of Lagos, Kwara, Imo, Ogun, Ekiti, Jigawa, and others.

Bobai concluded by calling on citizens to continue supporting Governor Uba Sani and rejecting attempts by “the forces of confusion” to divide the state.

“I am proud to work with this man,” he said. “I believe his strength comes from God. And as Scripture says: ‘A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.’ With Uba Sani at the helm, Kaduna has a bright future.”
